Prestwick Lighting -Up was brilliant !

A big thankyou to all those who gave generously at the recent Prestwick Lighting-Up event 2017. Santa's grotto and our tombola stall raised over £700 for The Rotary Club of Prestwick. This money was willingly donated by Prestwick residents and visitors, and it will be distributed to local good causes in the Prestwick area.

 It was a great afternoon of fun and friendship, well-supported by families with young children, keen to visit Santa in his special grotto. Lighting-up is a great kick-start to the Christmas season, well done to everyone involved. The tombola stall was organised and run by post office managers Stephen and Cherlene Cooper and raised £450. Cherlene presented a star prize to one lucky ticket holder, and plenty of delighted ticket buyers picked up great bottle prizes. Many thanks to all those who donated bottles as prizes. Prestwick Lighting-Up is a very popular event for the town and long may it continue.

Prestwick Rotary Club has donated £100 to the Jigsaw under five's playgroup and this was gratefully received by Diane Glass on their behalf. 

 The Rotary Club of Prestwick wishes a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. After a very successful and enjoyable 2017, club members are looking forward to 2018.
