Pride in Prestwick - Taking Prestwick from Good to Great!

Prestwick Rotarians hosted Colin Blair of Buzzworks to talk about Prestwick Civic Pride and The Prestwick Business Association. Colin is chairman of Prestwick Business Association. He gave an informative update on both organisations, and cited examples of what is being achieved in Prestwick. Co-operation with other organisations, including South Ayrshire Council and The Rotary Club of Prestwick is vital.

Debby Broughton-Hay and Jim Nicoll are especially active through rotary to liaise with all active groups. Everyone is working hard to put something back into the local community. Areas which are receiving attention include flower tubs and painting upgrading of the main street, chewing gum and litter removal, tidying up the esplanade and improved parking arrangements.

Prestwick has a buzz about it, with very few empty shops, and a vibrant social scene. This cannot be taken for granted, and the hard work will go on to make Prestwick even better. Rotarian Colin Duncan thanked Colin Blair for his excellent presentation.
