Prestwick Rotary Club is Looking for Guest Speakers
Would
you like to tell us about your job or hobby? If so please contact Prestwick
Rotary Club for a talking slot this autumn/winter. The Club meets every Thursday
evening at the Parkstone Hotel for an evening meal followed by a 20 min talk.
Topics have ranged widely from mindfulness to
charity work, health, model making, favourite objects, music and gardening. Any
subject is up for consideration, and passion for the subject is always the
basis for a lively evening. A speaker will be a Rotary guest, for a meal at The
Parkstone Hotel, Prestwick, commencing at 7.00 pm.
The evenings are great fun in an informal atmosphere with plenty of discussion. If you are up for it, please get in touch with President Richie Cameron on richiecameron2@sky.com or telephone him on 07720955627. Alternatively, contact Club Secretary Bill Leslie on moyra.bill@yahoo.com. Rotary Club members are always keen to know what is happening in the local community, both from organisations and individuals.
A recent speaker was Kenny Bell talking about the Ayr Sea Cadets, which is all about giving youngsters new skills and confidence, whilst having lots of fun on boats. Kenny is a great enthusiast who is fully committed to improving opportunities for young people from all social backgrounds. He is pictured central to Rotarians Edith Sterrick and Richie Cameron. Ayr Sea Cadets can be contacted on ayrseacadets@gmail.com. Kenny gave a great illustrated talk which earned a hearty vote of thanks.
