District 1040 District Governor (Birstall Luddites 3rd DG) Keith played a major role in the conference leading all the happenings on the stage in the Great Hall with Edith playing another big role helping Nigel behind the scenes on stage. President Jeremy led the Luddites in their roles assisting in the organisation - Tony and Bill H on duty very early  Friday morning and through the day with registration and House of Friendship duties.
Saturday Ian Steve John Jeff Helen Colin taking times on the Great Hall doors and registration. Jeremy Steve on duty at the lunch venue and Jeremy Carol Paul and Katherine on duty Saturday and Sunday morning . Robert J was on duty on the Foundation stall in the House of Friendship. Terry and Marlene also visited on Saturday. The conference took its usual Plenary sessions through Fri and Sat and Sunday Luddites enjoyed the Black Tie Dinner and Dancing Friday night and Dinner and Dancing to a great Jersey Boys band Bellevilles on Saturday. Luddites enjoyed drinks at the VIP reception at the Crown Spa hosted by Nigel. On Sunday a highlight for the club was the award for most Rotraians attending the Conference and this was awarded to Birstall Luddites, Jeremy received the trophy on stage presented by Nigel as can been seen on left.. (Lift down to Spa was closed due to works on the cliff side - photo shows piling work ) |
