Picnic in the Grounds of Government House (Saturday 7 July 2018)

The Rotary Club of Guernsey working with Mind Guernsey held an inaugural family picnic themed around Mr Men in perfect weather conditions in the beautiful grounds of Government House that were kindly offered by His Excellency Sir Ian and Lady Corder.

In addition to the support from many performers and musicians including the Hope Singers as well as a wide variety of stall holders we were delighted to welcome Mr Adam Hargreaves of Mr Men fame who kindly arranged book signing and illustrations. A picnic was provided to over 200 who kindly purchased tickets to help us raise funds for Mind Guernsey to train a trainer on mental health first aid.    

Children’s games, face painting and a raffle also helped provide for a spectacular event which was enjoyed by all and our thanks must be extended to all helpers and volunteers who worked so hard to make the picnic such a success.
