Visit to Children’s Hospice South West

A small group from Chelwood Bridge Rotary and Inner Wheel visited the CHSW at Charlton Farm earlier this week. They were shown around the state of the art facilities and amenities by long-serving volunteer, Mary Bailey. 

At a recent Rotary Dinner Chelwood Bridge continued its financial support for CHSW through an impromptu raffle which raised £250. Barry Gillett and Vic Clarke are shown here presenting the cheque to Karen Mathie on her first day as a CHSW Community Fund Raiser.

Vic said ‘We first visited Charlton Farm when it was being developed from farm buildings to a hospice. The buildings and surrounding grounds are impressive and it is a pleasure to see that the standards CHSW originally set it itself are being maintained by its committed caring staff and volunteers.’
