Rotarian goes the distance!

Llandudno Rotary is basking in the reflected glory of one of its own – Sarah Kennedy-Ratcliffe, Secretary of the recently formed Llandudno Gogarth Rotary.

Sarah, who has run previous Marathons but never the “biggie”, completed the London Marathon earlier in the month and in so doing raised nearly £500 for Age Connect Wales, to help fund their work with combating loneliness amongst the elderly. Sarah, who is 45, says

“ London is my 6th and probably my last marathon, due to other commitments I will continue to run just half marathons but what an amazing event to end on! My time was slow at 6hrs 23 but the atmosphere, the volume of people, running past the iconic landmarks, running over Tower Bridge was a highlight.. it was an experience I will never forget.”
