Fullarton Community Hub - 09/04/18

Weekly Press Report

Speaker at Irvine Seagate Rotary on Monday was Donna Fitzpatrick talking about the history and development of the Fullarton Community Association and the new Fullarton Hub.  Run entirely by volunteers, the Hub caters for all age groups and abilities and is a real focus of community life.  Open 7 days for organised groups and as a casual drop in centre, activities vary from bingo to gardening, mother and toddler groups to employment advice.  Shortly it will be the location of the local medical practice.  The Hub is a real community asset, and is a credit to those who had the vision and drive to bring it to fruition.  After questions, a Vote of Thanks was proposed by Eric Greig.  John Brown  gave an update on the charity race night at Bogside on 27 April, and Jim  Fairgrieve outlined the programme for the visit of French Rotarians in June.  Alex McConnell confirmed that he has booked good speakers for the Sportsmen’s Dinner both next year and in 2020, on 28th and 20th February respectively.
