Wine Tasting - Mar 2018

An evening of wine tasting with a 'Call my Bluff' quiz to identify the wines.

Wine Tasting Evening

Friday evening, 9th March ... over 40 Rotarians, their wives, partners and friends gathered at the Park Langley Club for a very special evening. Each had responded to the tempting flyer for this event, ( you can still see the flyer, just click HERE )

David Crowe and Peter Stotesbury were our hosts for an evening of wine tasting and a quiz run along the lines of "Call my Bluff".

Over the course of the evening we tasted six different wines, four red and two white and with each wine we were treated to three colourful and convincing sounding descriptions; our task was to decide which was the truth and which were bluffs.

Halfway through the evening and we had tried three wines, we then enjoyed excellent light snacks of bread, biscuits, cheeses, pate and fruit, provided by Jez and Co. at the club

The winning table, with an outstanding score of five out of six wines correctly identified, received boxes of chocolates as prizes.

The support of friends from other local clubs, helped make this evening a great success that was enjoyed by all.

Our thanks to David and Peter who organised the evening, ably assissted by Nick and Michele.
