Rotary Beckenham's Christmas street collections are in full swing now. Every night of the second week in December Santa calls at homes in Beckenham whilst his "little helpers" collect donations and hand out our annual newsletter.
The newsletter tells people what we've been up to this year and which children's charities we are collecting for at Christmas. The highlight of our visit is probably Santa's sleigh, complete with Elven driver, music and colourful lights.
The elf gets his annual beauty treatment.

Santa back again in the daylight, collecting for local children's charities in the car park at Marks & Spencers in Beckenham.

Nick Randall writes ...
After a very busy two weeks I can advise that all of our collecting activities are now complete and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us.
All the street collecting, bag-packing and bucket rattling have helped us achieve a grand total of £8,379.00 (2016 £8895.00) - thank you all so much.
Can I also express particular thanks to members of the Club Charity Committee who, in various ways, have been busy over a period of months preparing and organising, as well as then taking part in the collecting. It is their combined efforts that make things run so well.
I look forward to seeing everyone next year and may I wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous 2018!
Nick Randall
