Llandudno Rotary reviews where donations were made in 2017

At a recent business meeting, Llandudno’s Rotarians reviewed the accounts and reflected on what had happened in the last financial year to 30 June 2017.

In the year, the unfailing generosity of Llandudno’s residents, workers and visitors raised £6,000 from such varied ventures as the 2016 Christmas snowman collection, the i61 Church £10 Challenge, a barbeque and an Indian night, a generous corporate donation and other smaller collections and donations.

This enabled the Club to support each of

  • Llandudno Youth Music Theatre
  • Ty Gobaith Hospice
  • Wales Air Ambulace
  • St David’s Hospice
  • Chernobyl Childrens Lifeline – North Wales
  • Royal National Lifeboats Association

 with a £500 cheque.

In addition, fundraising enabled Llandudno Rotary to:-

  •      Craig y Don Community Centre received a £1138 defibrillator
  •      Ilitha Pre-School Project in South Africa was supported to the extent of £ 1509
  •      Some local micro-charities received £50 each.
  •      A further £123 made possible a day out for residents of St David’s hospice.

Llandudno Rotary is grateful for the continued support of the local community in its fundraising efforts, ensuring  locally raised funds support worthwhile local projects and causes, as well as international causes close to local people's hearts.
