What we Do

Swansea is a thriving Rotary club in the Heart of Swansea. Celebrating our Centenary this year

Swansea Rotary club - What we have done so far this year.

This has been a very busy period for the club. On Saturday 2nd September we organised, together with the Mumbles club, a very successful boules competition involving 32 teams (Inevitably named Mumboules). This raised over £5000.

On 9th September, we carried out a bucket collection at the Proms in the Park event. Thanks to all the Rotarians from other clubs who turned out to help with these events.  We have followed up the R I presidents tree planting challenge by planning to plant a community orchard.

Our application for a global grant to finance a borehole project in Kenya has been successful and we anticipate an early implementation of the project.  We have recruited three new members since the beginning of July.  We have also established a Satellite E’Club and excellent online speakers have been well received.

Maggie Abbett, President.
