At an exciting prize-giving assembly at Sandon JMI School, President Mike Williams of Baldock Rotary Club presented certificates to students of the school who had entered their stories based on the theme "Reflection" in the Rotary Young Writer Competition. All the scripts had been of a high standard and prizes were presented to the winner and two runners-up of the club round of the competition.
Emily Levy’s story won both the Baldock Club round of the competition and the Junior round of the District Competition so she received a trophy from Rotary District 1260 (Beds, Bucks and Herts) and, as her winning script had participated in the national competition, she also received an additional certificate signed by the President of Rotary International in Britain and Ireland.
The school were awarded a cheque from Baldock Rotary Club.
Also in the picture is Rotarian John Hammond, District Organiser of The Young Writer Competition and Emma McGill, Head Teacher of Sandon JMI School.
