Lunchtime Meeting - 12.45pm - Speaker John Davies

Acknowledging the style of former member Brian Lort, who enthralled members with his series of reminiscences of his wartime experiences over several years, John embarked on a gentle meander through his life story from his school days in the Swansea area through to the start of his days in the Building Society.

Sitting behind a desk did not seem to appeal to John much at this time and he regaled us with mischievous tails of brushes with the Headmaster and restraining a teacher's car from an upstairs window so that he could not drive away.

John really is a story teller and we look forward to his further adventures when it's John's next turn to speak.
