Seagate Rotary’s speaker on Monday was Angey Stovell, a fundraising volunteer for Combat Stress. Combat Stress is the veterans mental health charity that provides help and support for veterans and serving members of the armed services, and their families, and also to reservists and the merchant navy.
Their services are free to those who need them, and they are best known locally for Hollybush House where they provide intensive 6 week residential therapy courses. Combat Stress can be contacted at any time on a confidential 24 hour helpline, 0800 138 1619. The Hollybush House summer fete, always a good day out for a good cause, is on Saturday 10 June.
After questions and discussions, a Vote of Thanks to Angey was proposed by Hugh Hutchison.
