Defibrillators in the community

Llandudno Rotary has donated another defibrillator to the local community - this time in Craig y Don

Defibrillators gifted to the local community

The Rotary Club of Llandudno has sprung into action again to help the local community.

We have just provided a £1200 defibrillator to Craig-y-Don Community Centre.  Once training has been given to staff, this means that potentially life saving on-the-spot cardiac arrest help can be given, even before medics arrive.  With the Centre being open from early morning until late evening, this makes the facility available not just for the Centre itself but also for the adjacent playgroup along with bowling, tennis and croquet players.

This welcome facility adds to the two defibrillators placed by the Club during 2015 at each of Clares department store and Habit tearooms, at either end of Mostyn Street in Llandudno.

Our picture above shows (from left to right) Rotary President Mike Clutton, Craig-y-Don Community Centre chairman Philip Jones, and Trustees Wilf Cope, Nigel Sutcliffe (Building Manager) and Sheila and John Dentith.
