The Rotary Year

The first ever Rotary Conventions were held in August 1910 and August 1911.

At the August 1912 Convention, the Board of Directors ordered an audit of the International Association of Rotary Clubs' finances and recommended that henceforth the organisation end its financial year on 30 June to give the secretariat time to prepare the financial statement.

The Executive Committee of Rotary concurred and in 1913 designated 30 June as the end of the Rotary financial year.

The date has never been changed.
