Seat of Knowledge Quiz 2017 |
| Rotarians gathered at Healds Hall Hotel for the annual Seat of Knowledge Quiz.
Rotarians from all the Inner 9 clubs plus Rotarians from Skipton Rotary Club took part. This year the quiz questions were the responsibility of the Luddites and Oliver Tiplady was the quizmaster and he expertly conducted the quiz and finished with a round of applause from the 70 Rotarians for a job well done. The quiz questions ranged through History, Geography, General Knowledge, a picture quiz and sport. His winning team announcement was a mistake as Oliver gave the winner as La La Land but he topically corrected this to the RC Dewsbury The winners this year were the Rotary Club of Dewsbury. A draw of lots decided the club to set questions for next year and Horbury and Ossett Phoenix were selected.The scores were double checked by Jeremy Parkinson and electronically by John MacKail.
