Scatter Week - 03/10/16
Weekly Press Report
On Sunday, a group of Seagate Rotarians went stravaiging over the hills and moors above Fairlie and Largs. In perfect weather, they took in views from the Pentlands to Jura, and the southern Highlands to Galloway. Over the course of a leisurely 6 hours they covered over 12 miles, with a cumulative 2000 feet of ascent, and rewarded themselves with a refreshment in a hostelry in the Station Square in Largs.
There was no Seagate Rotary meeting on Monday, as a large number were away at the Irvine autumn tribal rituals known as the Wee Pies. To compensate, remaining members had a scatter night, small groups visiting other local Rotary clubs. Next week it will be back to normal, with Mhairi McFadyen talking about her volunteering mission to some of the world’s poorest countries.
