Once again there were some memorable moments at the eventful 10 Pin Bowling last week, which will remain embedded on my memory. Pauline Haigh takes the award for the best trick shot of the night. Looking very impressive as she determinedly set off towards the alley, a rather surprised number of her team subsequently scattered when she managed to reverse her throw towards them, rather than taking the slightly more conventional option of the skittles in front of her! No lasting damage as Ian says the stiches should be out by next week.
Wagih, founder member of the 10 Pin Preservation Society, was bitterly disappointed to find that he did not feature this year amongst the lowest scorers whereas Elwyn Thomas did not let the fact that he need crutches to walk, dissuade him from participating. In fact he looked a lot less wobbly than some of the other male bowlers who might have been spending more time at the bar rather than the alley! No name no pack drill Steve.
Modern technology makes it very difficult to mess up taking photos on a mobile but I managed to do just that! Could I therefore request any one who successfully took some pics to send these to Hazel for the web site.
Regards
John
