Three New Members - 7th February 2007

The recent additions take the Crossford based club up to a record number at 48 including one honorary member.


The Rotary Club of West Fife welcomed three new members at the club meeting on Tuesday 7th February. The recent additions take the Crossford based club up to a record number at 48 including one honorary member.
New Members: 

Robert Haig; classification - Mechanical Engineering, married to Roseanne,
Robert started work with McTaggart Scott in his home town of Loanhead in Midlothian. Following employment with Scottish and Newcastle, Forth Ports Authority - where he was General Manager at the Port of Leith. Robert who now works for Narvida in Dalgety Bay is an elder with Dunfermline Abbey where he is also the Assistant Fabric convenor.  He lists late 60s bands among his interests.

Allan Prentice; classification - Police Service / Finance, married to Ann with two lawyer daughters; 
Having followed a route through electrical (Scottish Hydro), coal and motor industries, Allan is now Head of Finance with Lothian and Borders Police.  He lives in Saline. An elder at St Margarets Parish Church, he is a keen caravaner, self confessed Francophile and Pars fan with an interest in hill walking.

Jack Pryde; classification - Building Societies / Finance, married to Catherine and has a son Craig and daughter Gillian.
Jack is Supplier Relations Manager at Dunfermline Building Society. He describes his job as "demanding but enjoyable" as he looks after procurement of the Society`s 75 cars.  He was named Fleet News, Fleet Manager of the Year in 2005.  A founder member of the Dunfermline Heritage Guides, Jack is well known to the club as a guest speaker and for his humanitarian aid trips to the worn torn areas of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s.
