Junior Youth Speaks

The winner of this year’s Kirkcudbright Rotary Club Junior Youth Speaks competition, 10 years old P6 student Lisa Cruickshanks from Borgue Primary School, receives the winning trophy from Rotary District 1020 Governor Andy Ireland. She was presented with the trophy shortly after delivering her winning talk on NASA to the assembled members of Kirkcudbright Rotary Club and their guests at their weekly evening meeting.

Lisa also received an  Usborne’s ‘’Dictionary For Life’’ which we award

to young people in the Kirkcudbright area who are  nominated by their primary schools and who are identified and chosen “for trying really hard and doing your very best”. There is no doubt that a very talented and equally brave Lisa qualified for this award by delivering her informative and at times amusing speech to fifty enthralled Rotarians.
