Irvine Seagate Rotary had a club business night on Monday. President Adam Moonie apologised for missing the last meeting, but he and past president Dan Moriarty had been away in Warsaw celebrating a significant birthday. It rained, and they could only use their bus passes as far as Glasgow. The meeting was further disrupted when Adam’s family arrived with a cake and an inflatable zimmer.
The club’s calendar is filling up for the next two months. There is the clairvoyant night on 6 November, and Seagate will be having a local charity collection at Tesco on 5 December. Tinned foods are being collected for the annual ‘Can for Gran’ Xmas hampers, and members are donating toys to the local “Toys at Christmas” project. To end the year there will be a social Christmas night, with partners and friends, in December.
