We hold an online "Speaker Meeting" every Wednesday evening at 19.30 BST [GMT+1 London] online using video conferencing from Zoom Cloud Meetings - to join us simply use: Rotary E-Club of East Anglia's Weekly Zoom Meeting, https://zoom.us/j/470985565
This week's speaker was absolutely fascinating giving us an insight into life and Rotary in Kabul City Afghanistan. We had 18 people online and several who have chased me to put the video online soonest.
Luke Beer shared with us his work and the setting up of a young and vibrant new Rotary club - Kabul City - it is refreshing to hear about some positive side of life in Afghanistan and we are lucky to be able to facilitate speakers in this way ... only an eclub can achieve this!
Other stuff this week is that there is steady development of our "daughters" - The eClub of Aviaition which should be chartering very soon, the eSatellite club down in the West Country is putting together a plan we can share soon with our members and the eGroup down in Sussex in gaining interest. I have had a conversation this week with the DG's of both D1120 & the newly formed D1145 who are happy to work to develop Rotary growth on the South Coast through the enthusiasm of Sam.
