Rotaventure - Archery @ Crew Green

John's Rotaventure visit to have a go at Archery.


Could all interested members (and guests) please contact John either by phone or email to let him know of their wish to attend?

The plan is to meet at the Park Gates at 5.00pm (not 6.00pm as originally stated) and organise car sharing then to Crewe Green. Cost will be approximately £20 and the intention is to stop for 'a pie and a pint' on the way back.

Report:

10 Rotarians and guests attended the Archery event on Thursday evening 21st May and we could not have had better weather with the range being situated in a very picturesque spot, between Shrewsbury and Welshpool. Guest Nigel was the marksman of the evening, closely followed by Janis and Viv. Janis's coach seeme to take a bit of a shine to her but we are sure this didn't influence his scoring for her when she seemed to have just enough "hits" to ensure she outdid Viv!! John Davies was congratulated by the owners as being one of the few who not only missed the "bull, but also the whole target losing the arrow in the grass bank behind.

The local pub was the Hand and Diamond and their 2 meals for the price of one helped to cement a very enjoyable, sociable evening.
