The Rotary End Polio Now Campaign is only 3 years from the eradication of Polio Worlwide. To celebrate and raise awateness the Rotary Flame is coming to Cambridge.
To celebrate the amazing results of the worldwide Rotary campaign to eradicate Polio and save millions of children from paralysis and a life of dependency. A few drops of vaccine on the tongue protects children from this debilitating disease for the rest of their lives. From 145 endemic countries we are now down to THREE - if we can get into these war torn countries then the campaign could be over by 2018 !!.
To raise awareness of the success and continuing vigilance that is necessary the Roatry Flame has been travelling the country. This afternoon it will visit the Cambridge Club - come and support the press momment on Parkers Pieces at 2.15pm.
