The Rotary Club of March recently made a £100 donation to the Ormiston Children and Families Trust. This money will be used to provide safety guards to prevent toddlers straying into potentially dangerous areas in the home.
The Ormiston Trust is a national charity which aims to improve the life-chances of children, young people and families. The Trust delivers programmes in the areas of education, child development, child support and promoting community well-being. Locally the Trust runs Children's Centres in both March and Chatteris but it has had its budget cut by £92,000 which has meant a cutback in the projects it wants to undertake.
The Rotary Club will be looking at whether it can give further financial help to the Trust in the future to help with a specific project."
