This evening should be great fun. A lovely summers evening playing a leisurely game of lawn bowls on this brand spanking new green - what could be better ? No experience is necessary as there will be bowlers on hand to give advice and keep score. A variety of sets of 4 woods can be borrowed for the evening - the only requirement is that you have shoes with smooth soles - no heels or deep grooves.
Meet at 6pm at the Green.
The immaculate green belongs to the newly formed Girton Bowls Club and is in its first year of play, having been laid in 2014 - still very precious!
Play will be followed by a meal - somewhere local eg The Old Crown pub, Girton.
