Review of RIBI Conference and talk by Luke Shumacher

Members who attended the RIBI conference in Belfast will report back on the highlights and Business meeting. In addition we welcome Luke Schumacher the Global Scholar being hosted by Cambridge South who will talk about himself.

Several club members and their partners are attending the Rotary GB&I Conference being held this year in Belfast. They will highlight some of the memorable issues and subjects discussed.

Luke Schumacher is our Global scholar for 2014-15 studying at Darwin College. He is a Military Intelligence officer who was a successful member of the West Point American Football team until a spate of injuries resulted in his premature retirement. He recently coached Cambridge to victory in the Varsity match in spite of his best friend from West Point leading the Oxford team. He will tell us about his family backgroud, his passion for US football his studies in Cambridge and his chosen career.
