Mayors Reception for local lead organisations active in the City.
The Presidents of the 3 local rotary clubs were delighted to be invited to this years Mayor's Reception in the main hall of the Guidhall. We approached the upper hall by the main staircase lined with girl and boy cadets smart in their camouflage uniforms. After being announced at the door by the Mace Bearer we were greeted individually by Mayor Gerri Bird and her consort. We mingled sipping drinks and nibbling very interesting and tasty morsels, while a local steel band played. Definitely a time to dust off the regalia. What a nice occassion!
