Halloween evening.

Fri, Oct 31st 2014 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

The Rotary Club joined forces with The Maid's Head pub in Wicken to provide a Halloween Event for local children. The event was in aid of local charities.

The Rotary Club following a request for help from the Maid's Head, were involved in manning the stalls at the Halloween Event held outside the pub on the Green.

Events for the children included, making a witches brew, biting the dangling donut, sticking the wart on the witches nose, wrapping parents up to be mummies, painting the pumpkin and the bouncy castle.

Certificates and treats were won as prizes and toffee apples and hot dogs were available to buy.

A very pleasant evening of weather did generate a reasonable influx of children who had a made a big effort to get dressed up in their Halloween disguises. Even some of the parents looked pretty scarry.

It was a new event for the Club to get involved in and a big thank you goes to Rtn Bruce who put an amazing amount of time and thought into the preparation for the event. Well done.
