This evening John arranged a working modern business Visit & Talk (followed by a pub meal) for us at VOLAC International Ltd, Royston. Volac is a "young, active, vital, concern", with young directors and young staff - a very successful, profitable, British family business. They manufacture and supply high performance nutrition products to the global market.
Our thanks to Melanie Hickey, exec secretary of the chief exec, at Volac International Ltd. for co-ordinating this event and giving us all a very interesting and involving time.
Meet at Volac International Ltd, Fishers Lane, Orwell, SG8 5QX for 6pm start.
- a drinks reception in the entrance foyer.
- Introduction of the 3-4 Volac directors/managers/our President and members.
- In the conference room a short video introduction to the Food Supply Volac Business.
- a Tour of the open-plan office, technical dept, laboratory, Upbeat Division quarters, staff gym.
- Followed by an active Discussion and Q&A session.
Around 7.30pm we went for a nice set meal at The Chequers Pub, in Orwell village - specially open for us
