Sep 2014 RYLA Report 2014 - hear from our candidate Iain fb Council Mtg

Iain enthusiastically told us about the exciting 2014 RYLA programme that he has only just completed. It was an unrelenting 8 days of physical and mental activities designed to take the candidates out of their comfort zone - to stretch and challege their views on others and themselves. They were very lucky with the weather and even the overnight camp was not too chilly.  The group of 41 were split into groups of 8 or 9 and guided through the course by high stamina leaders sensitive to the strengths and weaknesses in their team.  Iain was clear that he really enjoyed the whole exhausting experience and will value all the lessons he has taken away from it. He is very grateful to the club for their sponsorship.

President Alan was delighted to present Iain with his RYLA Certificates. (They are now on his wall in pride of place)

Iain has helped us with a lot of projects over the last year including our Homeless Football, Memory Cafe and Car Parking Fundraising.

Council will have a meeting after this session.
