Presentation by Dr. Rosemary Westwell on her husband John's dementia and how it affected her and the family
On Monday the 30th June the Club were given a presentation by Dr. Rosemary Westwell who was introduced to the Club by Rotarian David Hill.
Dr. Westwell talked about her husband John who has suffered from dementia for 22 years. She explained how the condition had progressed from the first signs of a problem to him currently being in care in Heron House. She described how it had affected her and her family and how it had prompted her to write a book John, Dementia and Me.
Her presentation prompted many questions before she was thanked by Rotarian Mark Hayden on behalf of the Club
