CHUMS Befriending Service operates throughout the whole of Shropshire offering friendship and company through volunteer befrienders to adults who feel lonely and isolated and are in need of someone to talk to. Befriending could be having a coffee and a chat or attending monthly group activities with a new-found friend and lots more. CHUMS strives to alleviate isolation and build confidence for people who may feel lonely due to a variety of reasons. By offering friendship, CHUMS aims to help clients gain greater access to their local community and promote their independence.
CHUMS volunteer befrienders spare a minimum of two hours per week and choose their own client so that we can best match the interests of the volunteer and client and also the time available. Volunteer
