Tommy the Clown Visits Largs, 27 June 2014

On Friday June 27th, Largs Rotary Club was delighted to support Tommy the Clown on the first leg of his charity fund-raising walk from Port Glasgow to Kilmarnock and back. Club members met him at the Willowbank Hotel and escorted him through Largs. The Club also organised two BB pipers to accompany him on his journey through the town.

Seventy-three year old Tommy Armstrong is a well-known figure on the fund-raising scene. He pounds the pavements in marathons throughout the UK, usually in his distinctive clown fancy dress. Tommy has participated in Largs Rotary's annual Fun Run for many years, raising money for a wide range of good causes.
