AMBLING AROUND WOBURN
Eight club members and their partners went in early June on a walking and sightseeing break to the Woburn area. We met on the way there on Dunstable Down where we watched the guilders and the kite competition before walking around what may be the largest chalk pit in England. We stayed in Aspley Guise and during the next four days were able to dodge the showers whilst taking interesting walks, including one around the outside of Woburn Safari Park. Both Bletchley Park and Woburn Abbey were well rated by those who visited. Also memorable was the spontaneous singsong around the dinner table on evening three and most evenings some got caught up in a competitive card school.
