Speaker Host R Burman, General Host V Burman, Cashier J Cooper.

Dr Nicholas Branson, Fellow of Darwin College, Cambridge University to talk.

His fascination with Birds.

'Dr Nicholas Branson from Cambridge University thinks nothing of following migratory birds from one end of the world to the other and is a regular visitor to the Broome Bird Observatory, Roebuck Bay WA.
His fascination with shorebirds extends back to undergraduate days at Cambridge where nearby is the extensive wetland known as The Wash.'  The tagging and recapture of the migratory birds he finds so interesting involves travelling huge distances as they fly between their Summer breeding grounds and where they over winter. The beautiful photos of such flocks were a delight to see.
