The on going walk along the Offa's Dyke path resumed with John and Ali Davies, John Ward, David Foden, Jenny Edwards and Anne Colquhoun (friend of Rotary) all meeting at Knighton Walking Centre.
We 3 girls enjoyed some refreshment in a tea room at 9am . . whilst the 3 guys managed the moving of cars to vital pick up points along the route. With a much desired bacon butty/freshly baked scone and drink - a must for all, we set off to climb the 1st hill immediately outside of Knighton.
Conversations were varied dependant as well on the steepness of the terrain and always at the moment of reaching a significant point, we paused, maybe slightly breathlessly to admire the lush, beautiful landscape of Powys or Herefordshire.
John Davies had very kindly booked accommodation for the Saturday evening in Kington and the following day we resumed the walk to Hay on Wye.
28 miles in total were walked and we walk the next section from Hay on the 27th July.
Oh, for some much needed sleep . . looking forward to the next phase!!
