"It was a pleasure to introduce Laura Greenfield as this evening's speaker. Although Laura is the Head of Development for the Cambridge Arts Theatre, her talk revolved around the famous alumni who have graced the boards on the stage of the Arts. She gave a good outline of the aims of the Theatre and she amused us by relating some of the observations and quotes of famous actors reflecting on their stage performances in Cambridge. Having worked in a management capacity in a wide range of theatres after graduating from Cambridge, she has returned to drive forward the development of the Arts Theatre. Her grasp of the overall management of a provincial theatre warts and all, became clear from her answers to some searching questions following her talk. I feel we all enjoyed her talk and I was left with the intention to explore and if appropriate set in motion a Club visit to a show at the Arts in the not too far distant future."
