This years Group Study Exchange team from our Rotary District 1080 in East Anglia, UK visited Rotary District 9800 in Melbourne, Australia during February/March 2013 and told us about their adventures.
Locals Caz, Kelly and their leader Colin represented the group and gave us a lively tour of all the sights and sounds they experienced.
They visited 6 Rotary Clubs in and around Melbourne to give talks. Each of which adopted them and gave them a guided visit to their local highlights. These included Parliament buildings, Museums, Zoos, Kyaking, BarBQs, Australian Football, Gold Mining, state of the art research facilities, Rotary's Got Talent, Cricket, Beaches, Police youth projects plus visits to work related projects including childcare and youth work.
The team said 'they loved every moment of the trip, they would always remember and be grateful for the opportunity'. ' we have made lasting friendships and feel so much more self-confident.'
