District 1080 Winner of the Young Musician Competition cellist Olivia da Costa delighted us by playing a major work with the City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Hodge.
The concert was a great success. The orchestra played superbly as usual and featured Olivia da Costa (District 1080 Young Musician of the Year 2013). The audience received her performance with thunderous applause. Club members acted as stewards for the evening and District 1080 sponsored the event. Ticket sales went to charity fundraising.
As part of her Rotary District1080 Young Musican of the Year Competition prize Olivia has this opportunity to play solo cello with the City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Hodge at the prestigious West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge - sponsored by Rotary District 1080 and the Cambridge South Rotary Club.
