Anne Streather from the local charity Cam Sight came to talk to us about the valuable work they do to support the blind and partially sighted with advice, information and equipment to help them maintain their independence as much as possible.
They have launched a Centenary Appeal to redesign Cam Sight for people with sight loss and build a Technology Centre of Excellence in Cambridge.
Anne has been Chief Executive of Cam Sight for seven years, having worked in the voluntary sector in Cambridgeshire for the previous 20 years. She sits on the national executive of Visionary, the umbrella body of local sight loss charities.
