This was a very enjoyable afternoon. We met up with Kim and Sheila at Lydham Village Hall and wound our way through the backlanes to eventually emerge at Peter and Mary's small holding. What beautiful views and the weather was perfect. Peter and Mary laid on a feast of various smoked meats from their own smokery plus salad and barbecued chicken and sausages. Very tasty! We had a fascinating tour of the farm and saw geese, chickens, a very impressive array of solar panels and a very discrete wind turbine. We also enjoyed a post-lunch game of " hoopla" using horse shoes, a short mown strip of grass and a stake. A good laugh was had by all!
