The St. Luke's Hospice Events Group organised a very successful Race Night on November 30th, 2012, at the Thorndon Park Golf Club in Ingrave, Brentwood.

Members of the Rotary Club of Billericay always try to support fundraising events by other charity organizations in our area.  Over eighteen members of the club and their partners attended the event, and a great time was had by all.  The evening started with a hot buffet meal, which was quickly eaten, and then we were into the explanation of the evening. 

There were 8 races, each with 8 horses in each.  Before each race the Tote was opened and tickets sold.  Participants could bet on any number of horses at a standard bet of
