An Afternoon Tea Party (3 November 2012)

On 3rd November, 2012 the Rotary Club of Guernsey hosted an Afternoon Tea Party at Sampson's High School with singer Vince Hall performing and singing songs by Frank Sinatra & Matt Monroe.

The guests from St John's Residential, Longue Rue House, Maison Maritaine, Jubilee Day Centre and friends of Rotarians enjoyed the entertainment and the accompanying refreshments served by Rotary Club members and care assistants.

At the end a big round of applause was given by all present for young Joe Allen, a year 11 student who gave his time to arrange the sound and lighting system.  Thanks Joe.

Rotarians involved were Margaret Spaargaren, Connie Helyar-Wilkinson, Margrit Bishop, Caroline Allisette, Paul Steer, Graham Edwards & Art Leadbeater.

Due to illness and accidents ten guests could not attend so the surplus of the lovely sandwiches & cake were delivered to St Julian's Hostel and gratefully received by the residents and staff.
