Mexican evening at Ian and Carolyns' home

We had a very enjoyable evening with Ian and Carolyn who served up a very tasty three course meal with a Mexican theme. We started off with nachos, dips and tortilla chips followed by fajitas ( beef and chicken ) chilli con carne, refried beans, rice and assorted sides. For dessert we indulged in home made churros with fried bananas and chocolate sauce. We then sat happily, and slightly bloated, listening to the answers to a Mexican themed quiz ( Sheila and Norman seemed to know all the answers even without google!) and Joan won a bottle of wine in the raffle. Many thanks to Ian for his excellent cooking and to both Ian and Carolyn ( and the dogs!) for making us so welcome in their lovely home. A memorable evening.
