Musical evening with partners - Sarah Queree cello, Joseph Reynolds and Nelson Butterfield on piano, competitors in the Cambridge Rotary Young Musician Competition enthralled us with their very high standard of playing and their choice of music.


A wonderful musical evening with dinner and entertainment performed by Sarah Queree cello, Joseph Reynolds and Nelson Butterfield on piano, just some of the best instrumental performers in the Cambridge round of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year competition held on 2nd February 2013.
We entered the University Arms Hotel to find the beautiful Octagon furnished with tables around the Grand piano, decked out with flowers, candles and with a roaring wood fire. After a lovely 2-course meal and coffee, the 3 outstanding young musicians entertained us.
Sarah on cello performed Air from the County Derry and Tarantella by Squire with piano accompaniment.
Joseph, who had played cello in the Young musician competition, played a delightful rendition of Beethoven
