Feb 2013 Speakers - RYLA participants in 2012 - their experiences

Mon, Feb 18th 2013 at 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

RYLA Alumni discuss the impact that attending a RYLA course had on their subsequent lives. D1080 RYLA officer Robin Wraight discusses how to promote the week to employers and young people.
Speaker host M Hudson.

The 5 RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) candidates from Gibbs Denley talked with enthusiasm about the residential week of outward bound activities and challenges that they had taken part in over the last few years. The highly trained volunteer course leaders do everything they can to help each candidate get the very most from the carefully planned experience.

The club is keen to sponsor at least one candidate each year and help a young person to afford the fees involved.  Anyone interested who is between 18-26 years old can contact the club and apply for our support.

The young people all enjoyed the experience and were unanimous in recommending it to others.

The next course will run 31st August to 7th September 2013.
