27 June 2012 - Derek Brown recalls his trip to the Canadian Rockies

On June 27th our speaker was one of our members, Derek Brown. As has been said before, some of our best speakers have been our own members and this was no exception.

Derek spoke of his trip to Canada, travelling from Vancouver to Calgary. His talk was illustrated with superb pictures of lakes, mountains, brown bears, black bears, attractive wooden houses and lots of snow.

He also showed pictures of a memorable boat trip which started on a calm stretch of water and then through turbulence, resulting in Derek getting a lap full of ice cold water.

The superb scenery he showed us certainly made those who had not been to Canada hope to go sometime.
